It’s been a while….

I have just realised that in the busyness of these last few months, I have not written an up-date or any of our news here on the website, and we have been very busy! So maybe I will start with a little review of the year so far and then provide a forward look at the next month or so.

We were in Buenos Aires for January so our London classes were a little delayed in starting this year. However, we were also busy in Buenos Aires immersing ourselves in Tango, it’s culture, art, poetry and of course the dance.

As a snapshot we were honoured to be invited, once again, to perform in La Maurilonga in Buenos Aires, a popular local Milonga with a wonderful warm and welcoming vibe. We were also invited to teach at Estamusa in a long running and well known tango school.

In our free time, whilst not at the Milongas, we took classes in Filete Porteno! This was an amazing experience and we hope to practice some more when we get a moment!

Confiteria Ideal

This beautiful Confiteria had been closed for a few years undergoing refurbishment. We both have many happy memories of dancing there and so were really keen to visit and see how it looks. It has definitely been restored to splendour. At the time of our visit there was no Tango but we hear that it will restart! 🙂

February and March news…

A bit behind schedule but February and March have been busy!

Tango y Nada Mas – London. We continue with our regular Wednesday evening classes at our new venue, The Castle E1 1LN and have recently started a new beginners class, so please tell your friends!

Tango Warwick, Fridays in Leamington Spa (CV31 1JW) – Our residency continues at Tango Warwick. It is such a lovely Tango community, so if you are in the area come along. Classes start at 6:30pm and there are three classes during the evening with a practica for an hour at the end (with cake and wine too!)

Tango Cafe – You can find us at Tango Cafe in Clapham (SW11 1LQ) at least once a month often twice, where we teach an hour’s class followed by the afternoon/early evening Milonga. There’s a great atmosphere and plenty of people to dance with.

Dorset Tango Festival – February 2024 – We had a fabulous weekend in Weymouth with Leo and Tracey of Tango Fandango, so much so that we have exciting plans for the rest of 2024 – see the next news post!!

Pavadita – 10 March 2024 – we were delighted to be back at Pavadita in March and looking forward to more in 2024.
