We have had to cancel the class this Monday 15th May as there is a large annual event happening at The Water Poet. We will be back as usual on Monday 22nd May, and not forgetting our Taster Day on Saturday 20th May between 2-5pm. Don’t forget to book your place if you are planning on coming to the Taster.

If you have been thinking about trying Argentine Tango for a while, but not quite made it, now is the perfect time to join a class at The Water Poet on Monday evenings.

OUR CLASSES

5 weekly Beginners Courses

We started a new Beginners Course last week and its not too late to join. These run from 6:30-7:30pm every Monday. We cover the basics to get you started and no previous experience is necessary. It is a warm and friendly environment and we repeat the course every 5 weeks. We are running a promotion at the moment to have the first class out of the 5 FREE. Additionally, if you sign up for the 5 weeks you receive a 20% discount on the normal prices for drop in classes.

Improvers

If you already have some experience, then why not try our Improvers class at 7:30-8:30pm where we still concentrate on the fundamentals of the embrace, connection and music but also introduce more complex figures to help you start dancing with confidence. The Improvers is suitable for everyone who has already has some experience. We also offer the 20% discount to all those who sign up for 5 weeks at a time in order to build a group of committed dancers and improve the experience for all.

Intermediates

From 8:30-9:30 we run our Intermediate class for those who have been dancing for a lot longer.  Here we concentrate on much more complex figures to keep your dance fresh and interesting. Again the 20% discount is available to all who sign up for blocks of 5 classes.

Normal drop in price for classes is £12.

TASTER DAY – Saturday 20^th May

On Saturday 20th May we will be running a special intensive ‘Taster session’ to introduce all the fundamentals of this beautiful dance in an afternoon between 2-5pm at The Water Poet. The price for this is £30 and booking in advance is essential so we ensure equal numbers of leaders and followers.

Performing at Borough Market on Saturday 27^th May

On Saturday 27th May, there is a special event in Borough Market from 7-11pm organised by Tango Road. An evening of classes, performances and social dancing. We will be teaching and performing during the evening, so do come along and support us!

MILONGUITA – Bank holiday Monday 29^th May

Our last Milonguita at the beginning of May was a lovely evening, so we have decided to do the same again on the last Bank Holiday Monday in May. We will do the beginners class as usual 6:30-7:30pm followed by social dancing until 11pm!

ART NIGHT – 1 July 2017

Lastly, we are taking part in an exciting project ‘Art Night’ in July where we will invite many dancers to join a special event in the local area ending up with a silent ‘milonga’ in Exchange Square in the City. More details to follow!
