In an exciting new initiative, we have joined forces with Leo and Tracey Acosta of Tango Fandango to go on the road and bring you Tango Intensives! Having worked together on many occasions and sharing a love of social, improvised tango we can’t think of anything better than to be working together throughout the year to bring you a wide range of styles and ideas that, working together, we can give you.
The great thing is that whilst we share the love of social dancing and improvisation, we are also different and so between us we can focus on the many styles in Argentine Tango including: Tango Salon, Tango Milonguero, Canyengue, Orillero and Nuevo and all the rhythms including: Tango, Tango Vals, Tango Milonga and Tango Foxtrot.
Each event in the year will consist of a whole day of workshops and an evening Milonga in beautiful venues around the UK, we started with Devizes in Wiltshire on 11 May. This first event couldn’t have been better, the venue was absolutely beautiful and how wonderful is it to be able to dance in a Milonga in a gorgeous setting?
In the meantime, we listened to your feedback and took your comments onboard in order to make future dates even better.
No.2 on the Tango Roadshow was – Saturday 15 June – Malmesbury Town Hall
A different venue, with a beautiful floor. We enjoyed the weekend not only dancing but exploring the Abbey and surrounding area.
No.3 On the Roadshow took us back to Devizes
